Site work and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Crawfordville, Florida. Completed plans call for the construction of a bridge / tunnel.
**As of May 08, 2026, project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** Sealed bids are invited for the construction of a timber pier over land and a concrete pier for the portion located over water. The principal feature is the Mashess Sands Pier Replacement. The specifications are provided in ITB 2026-04. A mandatory pre-bid conference and site visit are required for all contractors wishing to bid. Attendees must sign in to be authorized to bid. Bids received after the deadline will not be accepted. The County reserves the right to waive informalities, reject any or all proposals, re-bid, and accept the bid that is judged to be the lowest and best. Only responsible bidders will be considered, and contract awards may be made based on the base bid or any combination of alternates as determined by the County. Bidders must comply with all legal restrictions, including not being on the convicted vendor list as defined by Florida Statutes. Participation by MBE/WBE businesses is encouraged, and the County enforces open and fair competition and does not discriminate based on race, color, national origin, sex, religion, age, marital status, or disability.
