Poplar Ave Collierville, TN 38017 This project shall consist of traffic control, saw cutting asphalt, saw cutting of concrete, excavation of material, installation of watermain, backfilling, testing of watermain, installation of waterservices, installation of meter boxes, finish grading, concrete work, sodding and other items of work for a completed project . The work consists of the furnishing and installation of a Ductile Iron Pipe (DIP} Water Main as called for on the plans with all labor, materials and appurtenances required for a completed project. B. Shop drawings and materials must be submitted and approved by the Town prior to use in the project. C. The backfilling of all pipes shall be per detailed drawing shown in the plans. This includes Trenching, Backfilling and Compaction. D. Existing asphalt to be removed shall be saw cut and all excess soil and asphalt are to be removed from the project site when excavating. There is no storage on site. The Contractor is responsible for disposal of excavated material. E. The Contractor shall assume full responsibility for the safety and protection of all persons, property and materials associated with his or her work. F. The work site is to be kept clean of trash; mud will not be allowed on existing roadways. G. The Contractor shall submit a construction schedule at the pre-construction conference listing all items including long lead times. No Notice to Proceed shall be issued without a construction schedule. H. The Contractor shall insure that work area is clear of encroachment into property outside of easements or rights-of-way. I. The Contractor shall not close off the use of public facilities until the completion of one stage of construction and provides an alternative usage approved by the Town. J. The Contractorshall notify the Town seven days prior to closing a road. K. All work shall be constructed as per the Town of Collierville Construction Standards. L. The Contractor shall notify the Town Engineer 72 hours (3 days) in advance of any intersection closure. M. The Contractor shall be responsible for acquiring storage areas for construction. N. Weekend Work: No weekend work allowed unless extenuating circumstances require it with approval of the Town Engineer BIDDERS must submit all questions about the meaning or intent of BID DOCUMENTS in writing to the TOWN's PROCUREMENT MANAGER or FINANCE DIRECTOR or his/her designated Procurement Specialist.
