The project involves the following scope of work: Removal of 1,254 square yards of sidewalk, removal of 1,788 square yards of roadway pavement, installation of 1,548 square yards of new sidewalk, 1,310 square yards of full-depth pavement patching, and 158 square yards of driveways. Additional work includes installation of 334 linear feet of water service replacement, storm sewer inlets, storm sewer piping, 3,100 linear feet of electrical conduit and wiring, decorative light poles, and other appurtenances. All bidders submitting a sealed bid must obtain the bidding documents from the designated sources and be listed as a Plan Holder of record. Bids submitted by entities not on the Plan Holders List may be returned as non-responsive. Bid security made payable to the Owner in an amount of 5% of the bidder's maximum bid price is required. Preference will be given to products and provisions grown and coal produced within the State of Iowa, and a resident bidder preference will be enforced as outlined by statute. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any technicality, and accept any bid deemed advantageous. All bids shall remain subject to acceptance for 60 days after the time set for receiving bids. The contract award shall be made based on the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
