The project is located on Streamwood Drive, Grandwood Drive, and Hutchins Road in Warren Township, Lake County, Illinois. The work consists of constructing various sizes of storm sewer, drainage structures, restoration, pavement patching, HMA surface removal, and HMA surface course together with appurtenant construction as described in the contract documents. Plans and proposal forms may be obtained from Bleck Engineering Co., Inc. All proposals must be accompanied by a bid bond, bank cashier's check, bank draft, or certified check for not less than five percent of the amount of the bid. The Awarding Authority reserves the right to waive technicalities and to reject any or all proposals. Quantities in the bid schedule are approximate, and payment will be made only for the actual quantities of work performed and accepted or materials furnished according to the contract. The scheduled quantities may be increased, decreased, or omitted. Submission of a bid is conclusive assurance that the bidder has examined the plans and understands all requirements. The bidder will be responsible for errors in the proposal resulting from failure to conduct an in-depth examination. The Awarding Authority is not responsible for any costs, expenses, losses, or changes in anticipated profits resulting from such failure or neglect. The bidder must not take advantage of any error or omission in the proposal and advertised contract. If a special envelope is supplied, proposals should be submitted in that envelope and clearly indicate its contents. When mailed, the sealed proposal should be addressed to the Awarding Authority. Proposals received after the time specified will be returned unopened. Bidders may withdraw a proposal by written or personal request before the proposal opening time.
