Site work and paving for a road / highway in Harlan, Kentucky. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
Harlan County Fiscal Court is accepting sealed bids for the 2026 Asphalt Paving season for County roads. Items to be bid include: 1) Tons placed less than 100 tons per mobilization (Base & Surface) with prices per ton delivered and laid, and per ton picked up by the County at the asphalt plant; 2) Tons placed between 100-200 tons per mobilization (Base & Surface) with prices per ton delivered and laid, and per ton picked up by the County at the asphalt plant; 3) Tons placed greater than 200 tons per mobilization (Base & Surface) with prices per ton delivered and laid, and per ton picked up by the County at the asphalt plant. Mobilization is defined as paving equipment being transported by road truck. Prices quoted must include all oil treatments (including tack oil), manpower for spreading, compaction, and directional flow of traffic. A one-year warranty on material and workmanship is required. All specifications must comply with the current Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Standard Road and Bridge Specification. The contractor must be pre-qualified by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet. Bids must be signed and submitted in a sealed envelope, plainly marked "Asphalt Bid" with the bidder’s name and address. Bids may be mailed or hand-delivered to Harlan County Fiscal Court. Facsimiles and emails are not accepted. The Fiscal Court reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to select the lowest and best bid.
