Renovation of a medical facility in New York, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.
Provide turnkey services, including all labor, materials, tools, supervision, equipment, safety, and other necessary items to design and construct GI Renovation Phase III at the Brooklyn Veteran Affairs Medical Center, 800 Poly Place, Brooklyn, NY 11228, in accordance with VA drawings and specifications. The selected contractor must retain Premier Engineering Group, Inc. to develop the full Design-Build Package, including all drawings and specifications; bidders must coordinate directly with Premier Engineering to obtain the associated AE design fee and include it in their bid proposal. Work involves completion of construction in both Area B (4th Floor) and Area A (4th Floor), as well as work in the 5th Floor Mechanical Room, covering installation and completion of furniture, equipment, architectural and MEP punch-list items, medical booms, support structures, HVAC systems, lighting, electrical, plumbing, and finishes. Contractor is responsible for site preparation, safety, compliance with OSHA and VA standards, warranty for all work, cleanup, waste disposal (with at least 50% recycled or prevented from landfill), and protecting all patients and end users during related activities. Temporary protection, infection control, proper signage, supervision, and storage for materials are required. The contractor must use the VISN 2 Autodesk Build Construction management platform for all project management and official correspondence. All contractor personnel must complete VA Privacy Training for Personnel without Access to VA Computer Systems or Direct Access to or the Use of VA Sensitive Information, and provide certifications of completion as required. The contractor is responsible for compliance with all technical, regulatory, and safety requirements as specified.
