Site work for a water / sewer project in Ocean City, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The work includes beach nourishment at Great Egg Harbor Inlet and Peck Beach in Ocean City, New Jersey. The contractor will perform pre-placement condition surveys and hydraulically pump and place approximately 1.2 million cubic yards of sand from the offshore Great Egg Harbor Inlet borrow area, located roughly 5,000 feet offshore, onto the Ocean City shoreline. Sand placement will occur along the beach from the groin at Seaview Road to 36th Street, with current conditions indicating primary placement from the Seaview Road groin to 14th Street. The project includes potential quantity options of 100,000, 200,000, and 300,000 additional cubic yards depending on bid pricing and shoreline needs at the time of construction. All sand must be sourced from the designated offshore borrow area, and trucking sand to the site will not be permitted. The period of performance is 104 calendar days from issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
