The work described in the specifications outlines the removal and installation of new lighting fixtures on Asbury Avenue between 6th street and 7th Street. Please reference the bid specifications, plans, and general instruction for more information on this project. Question Submission Deadline: November 3, 2025, 2:00pm Procurement Contact, Michael Rossbach Jr., Assistant Purchasing Agent, Email: mrossbachjr@ocnj.us The work under this contract is to construct improvements on Asbury Ave. The list of improvements under the Base Bid include, but not limited to, the following: o Site Clearing & Demolition o Remove Existing Lights o Full Depth Excavation For Conduit o Decorative Light Installation o Bollard Installation o Install Electrical Work o Asphalt Repair o Concrete Curb And Gutter Repair o Concrete Sidewalk The work shall consist of installing appropriate erosion control measures including construction entrance and silt fencing. Items not specifically noted on the plans and specifications shall be included in the price bid for site clearing or included in the prices bid for various other items in the Schedule of Prices. These items may include transporting of materials to the Ocean City Public Works yard, the removal of material on the site, relocation of material to other sites, relocation of mailboxes, signs, curb removal, sawcutting, pole removal, etc. The contractor shall be responsible for all construction layout. Separate payment shall not be made for construction layout, but the cost shall be included in the price bid for various items in the contract. The Contractor shall obtain all utility markouts, verify the location of all utilities (both horizontally and vertically), prior to the start of any excavation. There shall be no separate payment for this work. Payment for material removal and transporting shall be included in the item "Roadway Excavation, Unclassified". All work shall be done in accordance with the latest NJDOT Standard Specifications as amended or as supplemented (If not attached). The contract time for completion of the specified work shall be Friday, May 1, 2026
