Sealed bids are invited from prequalified trade contractors for Early Site Package and all remaining scopes for the construction of a new 3-story, approximately 109,000 SF PK-5 elementary school with associated site improvements, site access, parking, and complete building systems. The existing school buildings have already been demolished for the new construction. Bid packages include sitework, site utilities, paving, landscaping, site furnishings, structural concrete, waterproofing, roofing, general trades/rough carpentry, doors/frames/hardware, casework, supergraphics, appliances, fire protection, plumbing, low voltage, and spray fireproofing. All work for each package will be included in a single subcontract for each successful prequalified bidder. Plans, specifications, and other related documents are available to prequalified trade contractors only. All bids must comply with requirements as specified, including submission of appropriate forms related to Participation by Women and Minority Owned Businesses. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. Pre-qualification requirements: Bidders must be properly licensed for the work under Section 87 of the North Carolina General Statutes. Compliance with E-Verify and the NC Lunsford Act is required. Minority businesses are encouraged to participate, and relevant forms demonstrating good faith efforts for MWBE participation must be submitted with the bid.
