Sealed proposals will be received for furnishing highway paving materials. The scope includes providing various types of asphalt and stone, either for pickup at the successful bidder's location nearest to Upper Moreland Township or delivered as per Township instructions. All materials must conform to PennDOT Publication 408 specifications and accepted construction practices. The supplier must provide a mix design with the bid and supply a daily Bituminous Material Certification within 24 hours of placement. The contractor must be capable of delivering no less than 400 tons per day. Quantities include approximately 7,500 tons of Superpave Asphalt Mixture, 1,000 tons of Superpave Binder Course, and 500 tons each of several stone types (2A, 3A, 2B, 3, and grit). Bids are effective for one year from the award date. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of 10% of the bid. The Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof.
