Renovation of a playground / park / athletic field in Chester Township, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field.
The Scope of Work includes renovations to the existing Bandshell in Chester Park. This encompasses the complete renovation of the bandshell and exterior site improvements. The project is a Multi-Prime Contract consisting of General Construction Work, Mechanical Construction Work, and Electrical Work. Plans, specifications, information for bidders, and proposal forms may be obtained or examined online. Bidders are required to submit questions through the designated website by the posted deadline and are not permitted to contact the Engineer or Chester Economic Development Authority/City staff directly. A non-mandatory walk-through is available. Bidders must submit a surety bond or equivalent meeting 10% of the overall bid price and, if awarded, provide a Performance Bond of 100% of the contract amount within ten calendar days of written notice of acceptance. The project is assisted with federal funds, and federal requirements such as equal opportunity provisions, Davis-Bacon and Related Acts, Section 3 Final rule threshold, and BABA project requirements apply. The award will go to the lowest responsible bidder, although the Owner reserves the unqualified right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities. All interested parties must submit questions via PennBid website Question Deadline 03/27/2026 at 10:00 AM ET
