Site work for a museum in Zephyrhills, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a museum.
The project consists of improvements to the parking area of the Train Depot Museum, a historic city-owned facility. The scope includes demolition of existing asphalt, concrete, curbing, striping, and other site features identified for removal; clearing and site preparation; grading and earthwork to achieve proposed elevations and drainage; installation and maintenance of erosion and sediment control measures; construction of stabilized subgrade, base, and asphalt pavement sections; installation of concrete curb and gutter, sidewalks, accessible routes, and wheel stops; construction of ADA-compliant parking spaces, detectable warning surfaces, and signage; drainage improvements; pavement striping, markings, and related signage; and restoration and stabilization of all disturbed areas. The project is to be completed in accordance with attached construction plans and performed under applicable standards, codes, and regulations. The work must be completed within 90 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. Bidders are required to submit sealed proposals electronically through the designated portal, following specified formatting and documentation requirements. Submittals must include a technical proposal organized as detailed, with information on key personnel, the work plan, schedule to meet the 90-day requirement, past performance, and any assumptions or exclusions. The price proposal must include a 10% contingency for additional materials or labor within scope, to be used only by approved written change order. All communications regarding the bid must be through the city's procurement portal, and ex parte communications are prohibited. All necessary transportation, labor, materials, and equipment are to be included. Field verification of conditions is required before construction. The contractor is responsible for maintaining traffic and access, protecting site features and utilities, complying with permitting and inspection requirements, and delivering a fully functional site upon completion. All requests for additional information or clarification must be submitted in writing through the City's e-Procurement Portal (OpenGov). Such requests must be received no later than Monday, March 23, 2026, 9:00 am.
