Paving for a road / highway in Middleburg, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for paving for a road / highway.
Furnish and place 40 Tons of Flexible Base Replacement, 445 SY of Widening, 644 Tons of Asphalt Wearing Course, 416 SY of 4" Milling, 370 SY of 4" Milling, 76 Tons of Binder Course, 6 Tons of Drive Tie-Ins and a bituminous escalator clause is included in this contract. PA Prevailing Wage Rates apply. The Borough roadways to be included in the contracts will be indicated on the bid forms provided by the Borough. All work and material must meet current Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Specifications Form 408 and its Supplements. All bid proposals must be accompanied by a Certified or Bank Check; or Bid Bond naming Middleburg Borough in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid. The lowest responsible bidder will be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. The Borough Council reserves the right to accept and/or reject all or any submitted bids as a complete bid package or as individual bids. The Borough Council reserves the right to add or delete streets from the scope of work. Bids may be held by the Borough for a period not to exceed 45 days from the date of opening bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders, prior to awarding the contract.
