For purposes of this solicitation, the University hereby establishes an overall goal of 30%for MWBE participation, 11% for Minority-Owned Business Enterprises ("MBE") participation and 19% for Women-Owned Business Enterprises ("WBE") participation (based on the current availability of qualified MBEs and WBEs). The work to be done under the Contract, in accordance with the Contract Documents, consists of performing, installing, furnishing and supplying all materials, equipment, labor and incidentals necessary or convenient for the construction of Project Number 26JB0223-D000941, titled High Temperature Hot Water Priorities 1 & 4 and carry out all of the duties and obligations imposed upon the Contractor by the Contract Documents. The main features of the work shall include, but not be limited to the following: The removal and replacement of the existing High-Temperature Hot Water (HTHW) line running along Rugar Street, adjacent to the Angell College Center. The scope of work also includes the installation of sump pumps to help mitigate and manage groundwater infiltration in the area. A. This Section defines the general requirements for furnishing and installing a direct-buried, high-density polyethylene (HDPE) jacket piping system as indicated herein, and on the Contract Documents. The HDPE jacket shall be continuous, with no breaks or leaks along the entire length of the direct-buried pipe. B. The direct-buried piping system shall include all miscellaneous piping materials, including but not limited to, piping, fittings, outer jacket, conduit, insulation, field joint assemblies, pipe supports, anchors, guides, end seals, expansion loops and other components as required for the proper installation of the system. C. The Contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor and materials required to accomplish the work associated with the installation of the equipment specified herein and indicated on the Contract Drawings. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
