Furnishing all labor and materials necessary for the construction of 35th Avenue Resurfacing. The project includes select tree removal, sidewalk repairs, updating ADA ramps at intersections, curb and gutter replacement, driveway approach replacement, storm sewer repairs, milling existing asphalt surface, installing new asphalt pavement, parkway landscape restoration, signage, and any other incidental items necessary to complete the work as shown on the plans and specifications. Each bid must contain the full name of every person or company interested and be accompanied by a contract and bid bond, a certified check, or a bank cashier's check in the sum of five percent (5%) of the bid, payable to the City of Kenosha, as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into and performance properly secured within fifteen (15) days of the award of contract. The "Bidder's Proof of Responsibility" form must be completed and returned to the Director of Engineering not less than five (5) days before the date of bid opening. The contractor must comply with Davis-Bacon prevailing wages and the requirements of the Build America, Buy America (BABA) Act, 41 USC 8301 note, and all applicable rules and notices. Bidders must also comply with requirements included in Section 5.001 of the Code of General Ordinances for the City of Kenosha regarding Protection in Public Bidding. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish Worker's Compensation and Liability Insurance as specified. The City of Kenosha reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to accept any bid considered most advantageous to the City of Kenosha.
