The University of North Carolina at Wilmington (UNCW) is seeking to create a new Welcome Center, approximately 16,500 SF, to serve as the hub for undergraduate admission tours, a destination for visitors, and a resource for alumni engagement and events. The total project budget is $16.5M, which covers construction, design, and miscellaneous costs. The University is requesting the professional services of a Commissioning Authority (CxA) to provide commissioning services for MEP and building envelope systems through design, construction, and post-acceptance. Services must follow the latest State Construction Office manual, guidelines, and checklists. The CxA must be a registered engineering firm in North Carolina and meet the qualifications in the State Construction Office Building Commissioning Guidelines for Third Party Commissioning. Interested firms must submit a current SF 330 form and a written proposal, limited to one electronic copy (no larger than 10MB), with Section H limited to ten double-sided pages. Firms are responsible for ensuring receipt of proposals by the specified due date.
