The Town Board of the Town of Beaver is requesting bids for chip sealing projects on various road sections. Bidders must break down each road section in their bid according to bid specifications. The road projects are as follows: - 155th Avenue (CTHT to County Line Street, including 10th Street from CTHT to 155th Avenue) - 160th Avenue (CTHT to 7th Street) - 145th Avenue (CTHT to County Line Street) - County Line Street (145th Avenue to 155th Avenue) - 165th Avenue (CTHT to 2nd Street) - 2nd Street (165th Avenue from termini to termini) - Polk-Barron Street (180th Avenue south for 1,478 feet towards 3/4 Street) - 180th Avenue (CTHT to 5th Street) Scope of Work to be Performed 1. The work shall consist of furnishing all materials, equipment and labor to chip seal each proposed section of road. 2. Traffic control shall be provided by the contractor in accordance with MUTCD guidelines to maintain safety and allow access to property during construction. Contractor shall provide all flagging. Reduce Speed / Loose Gravel signage to be located until the road surface is swept. 3. Chip sealing process will consist of a polymer emulsified asphalt blend and a 100% fractured 3/8" washed limestone or 3/8" dark colored granite chip or equivalent which shall not exceed 3/8" in size. 4. Contractor shall be responsible for sweeping and removing all loose chip material no sooner than five (5) business days and no later than fourteen (14) business days from the application of the chip seal application. The listed distances are estimates and the list is subject to change. Bidders must supply proof of liability and worker's compensation insurance. The Town of Beaver reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and shall accept the bid or bids deemed most advantageous to the Town. Work must be completed by July 31, 2026.
