The County of Volusia, Ocean Center, is seeking qualified rigging contractors to provide exclusive rigging services for the convention center and arena facilities. The selected contractor will serve as the sole provider of rigging services, equipment, and personnel for all events requiring overhead rigging systems in the Ocean Center. In the case of a buyout, the contractor will provide on-site a certified rigging supervisor to oversee the third party rigging company during installation and removal for a pre-determined hourly rate, to be paid by the client. Scope of services required include: - Provision, installation, operation, and removal of electric and manual hoists - Design, installation, and dismantling of truss systems - Supply of shackles, slings, cables, and all associated rigging hardware - Specialized rigging for lighting systems, audio equipment, and video displays - Support for theatrical sets, backdrops, and decorative elements - Provision of fall protection systems, safety harnesses, and emergency equipment. The successful rigging contractor is expected to enable safe and efficient load-in and load-out, enhance customer services, and maintain safety and transparency during event production.
