Ynez Elementary School - Building H Roofing Restoration Project The Project consists of all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary to perform a roof restoration and reinforcement of the existing roofing system at Ynez Elementary School, Building H, located at 120 S. Ynez Avenue, Monterey Park, California. Work includes preparation and cleaning of the existing roof, installation of a reinforced fluid-applied roofing membrane system (such as WeatherWeld or equal), repairs as necessary to provide a watertight roof assembly, replacement of the existing scupper, and application of a Title 24 compliant reflective coating. The project area is approximately 9,525 square feet, including the parapet walls. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond if it is awarded the contract for the Work. The successful Bidder may substitute securities for any monies withheld by the District to ensure performance under the Contract, in accordance with the provisions of section 22300 of the Public Contract Code. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or waive any irregularity in any bid received. Unless otherwise required by law, no bidder may withdraw its bid for ninety (90) days after the date of the bid opening. Pre-Bid Clarifications regarding this Invitation for Bid must be received in writing to Elizabeth Roman at bids@ausd.us by 10:00 AM on March 13, 2026. Responses will be issued by 10:00 AM on March 17, 2026 via email and/or website posting. Work shall commence on the date specified in the District's Notice to Proceed and shall be performed in accordance with the District's required schedule. Disruptive roofing work shall occur during the District's Spring Break, March 30 through April 4, with site access permitted on March 28 for roof cleaning and preparation. Application of the Title 24 reflective coating shall occur on April 11 and April 18, and all work shall be fully completed thereafter.
