Site work and paving for a road / highway in Tres Piedras, New Mexico. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The contractor shall perform road maintenance activities on the Tres Piedras Ranger District of the Carson National Forest, including construction of drain dips involving excavation and compaction of approximately 180 cubic yards of native material; road widening requiring about 1,390 cubic yards of excavation and compaction to achieve 12-foot finished widths; curve widening; road obliteration; and 0.6 miles of new construction involving clearing, grubbing, and roughly 600 cubic yards of excavation and compaction. Work also includes road reconditioning consisting of ditch, shoulder, and roadbed maintenance, along with aggregate surface upkeep where applicable. Culvert installation will require placing a 57-inch by 38-inch arched corrugated metal pipe, thirty feet in length, over approximately thirty cubic feet of uncompacted bedding material.
