The work includes furnishing all necessary labor, material, equipment, and supervision required to remove recycled materials, trash, and refuse waste from the VA Western Colorado Health Care System at 2121 North Avenue, Grand Junction, CO 81501. Services include providing and servicing the following: one 8-yard compactor emptied three times per week (plus 12 additional pickups as needed), replacement of the compactor container twice per year with power washing of cement prior to replacement; two 8-yard trash bin containers emptied twice per week; one 30-yard roll off dumpster emptied twice per month (plus 6 additional pickups as needed), with disposal fees by ton not to exceed four tons per haul; twelve 96-gallon recycling carts for aluminum, paper, plastic, and tin, emptied weekly; one leased baler for cardboard with bi-weekly bale pickups, including installation and ongoing maintenance; and recycling of wooden pallets with pickups twice per month, ensuring pallets are not destroyed. All trash or debris scattered by the contractor must be immediately recovered, and pickup areas must be left clean and sanitary. Contractor will maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of all equipment and areas, ensure all containers are returned to their proper position, and provide advance notice if additional hauls beyond the annual total are needed. Safety precautions must be taken as directed by the Contracting Officer, and contractor personnel must comply with all instructions. Quotes must include proof of compliance with all specifications and requirements in the statement of work.
