Renovation of an educational facility in Keokuk, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Sealed proposals are requested for the George Washington Elementary - Multi-User Restroom Renovation, to be received by the Keokuk Community School District. Bids are for a single prime contract. Each bid must be submitted on a form provided by the Architect/Engineer and must include a certified check or bid bond for 5% of the base bid, which may be retained by the District as liquidated damages if the bidder fails to execute a contract and file an approved bond for 100% of the contract price. Bidding documents, including drawings and specifications, are available at www.klingnerplanroom.com. Bidders are strongly encouraged to register as a Prime Bidder or Sub-Contractor to receive bid-related notices and be listed as a plan holder. Bidding documents can also be ordered in paper copy at no charge. Technical questions should be directed to the Project Administrative Assistant at Klingner & Associates PC. The contract may be awarded to the lowest responsive responsible bidder according to Iowa Code requirements. Preference will be given to products and labor from Iowa. All bids are subject to governing state laws and Board policies. The project is sales tax exempt, and an exemption certificate will be issued for materials used in the contract. Technical questions regarding interpretations of the bidding documents shall be directed to Amanda Springer, Project Administrative Assistant of Klingner & Associates PC at aspringer@klingner.com and NOT City Blue Technologies The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following: The project includes replacing existing HVAC equipment including; the chiller, boiler, air handling units, unit ventilators, and exhaust fans. The project also includes a new HVAC controls system to control all HVAC equipment and upgrading the fire alarm system to a voice annunciated system. The chiller has been pre-purchased in a separate project; however, the chiller installation is included as part of this project.
