The roof of the maintenance shop at the Detroit Maintenance Station is well beyond its usable life expectancy and is beginning to fail and cause leaks and damage to the building. The new roof is critical to maintain building envelope protection and prevent future damage to the facility. Maintenance Shop re-roof consists of replacement of the existing metal roofing panels including installation of new plywood underlayment and vapor retarder., - Remove existing metal roof, insula tion barrier, and gutters. Repair damaged soffit areas. Install new plywood roof sheathing, underlayment, standing seam metal roof panels, and gutters. 1.
