Capital Region Water will receive bids for the Sewer & Water Maintenance Contract (Trenchless). The contract includes maintenance work for Capital Region Water-owned utilities, specifically the existing sanitary, combined, and storm sewer collection and conveyance systems and water distribution system. Work includes cleaning, closed-circuit televisual inspection, cured-in-place pipe lining, manhole lining, and chimney sealing, all executed upon issuance of a Work Order. The scope is intended for trenchless type maintenance work over a three-year period. Bidders must submit a bid security in the amount of 10% of the total bid price. Performance and Payment Bonds, each for 100% of the estimated contract price, are required from the successful bidder. A non-collusion affidavit is required. Bidders cannot change, modify, delete, or add to the wording of any bidding documents. Unauthorized conditions or alterations may result in bid rejection. Alterations by erasure or interlineation must be explained or noted in the bid over the signature of the bidder. All questions or inquiries about the bidding documents must be submitted via PennBid Bonfire. Capital Region Water reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive defects or errors, and to accept any bid in its best interest. Notice is given that this is maintenance work, and the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act does not apply.
