Reference Number 0000415791 Replacement of two bulk and two sodium hypochlorite chemical storage day tanks within the sodium bulk and day tank sodium hypochlorite chemical feed rooms. Replacement of all chemical feed piping from the bulk storage fill location, to the new bulk tanks, between the bulk tanks and the transfer pumps, between the transfer pumps and the day tanks, and between the day tanks and the chemical injection locations. Concrete curbing replacements and recoating, and enclosure panels and miscellaneous building electrical and mechanical equipment will require removal and replacement to accommodate additions of new hypochlorite feed equipment. Replacement of the two existing lime feed slakers above the rapid mix basin with two new auger paste-style lime slaker and feed systems. Furnish all labor, tools, equipment, and materials required to perform the work specified in the contract documents. The Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held on Tuesday March 10, 2026 @ 10:00am at Saginaw Water Treatment Plant 522 Ezra Rust Dr, Saginaw, MI 48601. The City of Saginaw is soliciting sealed bid proposals for the Saginaw Water Treatment Plant Sodium Hypochlorite and Lime Feed Improvements as specified in bid document. A Copy of the Original Bid Must Also Be Included in the Bid. A. The Work covered by the Contract Documents comprises construction of improvements to the sodium hypochlorite and lime slaker feed systems at the Saginaw water treatment plant (WTP), located at 522 Ezra Rust Drive, Saginaw MI 48601, for the City of Saginaw, Owner. B. The Work includes the following major items: 1. Replace north and south lime slakers and feeders. 2. Provide temporary bulk sodium hypochlorite chemical storage tanks. 3. Replace sodium hypochlorite chemical day tanks DT-1 and DT-2. 4. Replace sodium hypochlorite chemical bulk tanks BST-1 and BST-2. 5. Replace sodium hypochlorite bulk tank fill station. 6. Replace sodium hypochlorite bulk tank fill piping between fill station and bulk tanks. 7. Replace sodium hypochlorite transfer pumps suction piping between bulk chemical tanks and existing hose pumps. 8. Replace sodium hypochlorite transfer pumps discharge piping between pumps and day tanks. 9. Replace sodium hypochlorite injection piping from chemical feed pumps to plant injection locations. 10. Replace in kind chemical measurement and monitoring equipment associated with the sodium hypochlorite feed system. 11. Replace wall closure panels on the bulk and day tank rooms to facilitate chemical tank replacements 12. Replace exhaust fans on day tank closure panel. 13. Replace louvers on bulk tank closure panel. 14. Replace concrete containment wall removed for removal and installation of new bulk hypochlorite chemical storage tanks. 15. Install chemical resistant coating on walls and floor within the secondary containment curbing of the bulk storage tank room. The AIA Document A310 - 2010 bid bond is the preferred format. If the agreement is for multiple years, each year should be combined to get your total cost. Facsimiles or copies of bid bond will not be accepted, and bid will be disqualified if submitted. The City Reserves the Right to Accept or Reject Any and All Bids, or Parts Thereof, and to Waive Any Irregularities Which Do Not Materially Affect the Bid Document or Otherwise Conflict With Statute or Ordinance. Any Rejection of Bids Shall Be Made Only if There is a Sound Documented Reason for Same.
