The proposed improvement includes the installation of a traffic signal at Kensington Road and Waterman Avenue. Additional improvements will consist of ADA sidewalk upgrades, roadway resurfacing and pavement markings, and all incidental and collateral work necessary to complete the improvements as shown in the plans. All proposals or bids must be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of 10% of the total bid in the form of a certified check, bid bond, or cashier's check made payable to the Village of Arlington Heights. Bidders must comply with the Prevailing Wage Rate Act (820 ILCS 130/), the IDOT Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction adopted January 1, 2022, and the IDOT Supplemental Specifications and Recurring Special Provisions adopted January 1, 2026. Bidders are also required to comply with applicable equal employment opportunity provisions. The Affidavit of Availability must be submitted with the proposal, showing all uncompleted contracts awarded to them and all low bids pending award for Federal, State, County, Municipal, and private work. The Village reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive informalities in bidding, and to accept the proposal deemed to be the most favorable to the interests of the Village.
