Remodeling of an educational facility in Wheaton, Illinois. Completed plans call for the remodel of a educational facility.
The work consists of the furnishing and installation of new interior signage at three middle schools: Monroe Middle School, Edison Middle School, and Franklin Middle School, during summer construction work in 2026 and 2027. The contract will be a single lump sum contract. Bids must be submitted on forms provided by the architect. Bidders may request a site visit by contacting the architect. Bid security is required in the amount of ten percent of the proposal, made payable unconditionally to the owner, and must be either a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond issued by a surety licensed in Illinois. The successful bidder must provide a satisfactory performance bond and a labor and material payment bond for the full amount of the accepted bid. The contractor must comply with all provisions of the acts of the General Assembly of the State of Illinois related to wage rates, discrimination, sexual harassment, alcohol use, and preference to Illinois workmen. Additional information and bidder requirements are included in the instructions to bidders and the bid documents. Should a Bidder find discrepancies or ambiguities in, or omissions from Documents, or should bidder be in doubt as to their meaning, bidder shall at once, and in any event not later than seven (7) days prior to bid due-date.
