Scope:- This project is located at North Las Vegas Airport and includes design and implementation of security upgrades for existing North Las Vegas Airport (VGT) gates. Specifically, seven pedestrian gates will be modified to transition from push-button locks to hard-wired access control systems. Additionally, three automatic gates will be upgraded from wireless access control to hard-wired systems. The project also includes trenching and installation of duct banks to provide necessary power and data connections to support the upgraded systems. Each Bidder must supply all the information required by the bid documents and specifications. Each Bidder must furnish a Bid Guarantee equivalent to the appropriate percentage of the Bid Price as described in the Instructions to Bidders. The successful Bidder must provide a performance bond and a payment bond, each for 100 percent of the Contract price. The OWNER reserves the right to refuse to issue a bid form or to accept a bid from a prospective Bidder for reasons such as failure to comply with pre-qualification regulations, previous unsatisfactory work, contractor default, or unpaid bills on former contracts. The project is a federally assisted contract subject to 49 CFR Part 26, with a SBE goal of 5.3% of the Contract amount for the Base bid. All labor must be paid no less than the minimum wage rates established by the U.S. Secretary of Labor and the State of Nevada. Federal provisions such as Buy American Preference, Foreign Trade Restriction, Davis Bacon, Affirmative Action, Governmentwide Debarment and Suspension, and Governmentwide Requirements for Drug-free Workplace are incorporated by reference.
