The Housing Authority of the Cherokee Nation is seeking bids from qualified contractors for the demolition and turnkey construction of one 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom replacement home located in Nowata County. Contractors are to furnish all necessary labor, quality control, licenses, material, equipment, tools, supplies, permits, insurance, and supervision to complete the entire project and to perform the required work within the specified time after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. The project must be fully completed within 120 work days or a $1,000 charge per working day will be assessed for work beyond the contract end date. Contract extensions will only be allowed under extenuating circumstances. The scope of work and specifications are available in the bid packet. Bids must include all required forms and documents as detailed in the bid packet, including the Preparation Outline, Mandatory Bid Response Sheet, Non-Collusive Affidavit, Previous Work History Form, and (if applicable) TERO Certification. Indian preference will be given to contractors with current certification from the Cherokee Nation Tribal Employments Rights Office, and applicable TERO requirements and fees apply. Bidders are responsible for all costs associated with preparing and submitting bids. The Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids and determine if a bid meets stated requirements, awarding the contract in the best interest of the Authority. Late bids will not be considered and will be returned unopened. Conditional bids will not be accepted. Bidders must list prior work experience on other construction jobs and provide references as required.
