Site work and paving for a road / highway in Hochatown, Oklahoma. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
The work consists of the resurfacing of Old Hochatown Road, beginning at Highway 259 and proceeding east to Johnboat Lane in Hochatown, Oklahoma. The contractor will furnish all necessary equipment and labor, supply and maintain all warning signs and liability insurance for safety, and prevent any liability against The Town of Hochatown while work is in progress. All work will be subject to inspections and a performance bond. Work can begin when all bonds are filed and approved. The scope includes clearing and grubbing, unclassified excavation, temporary silt dike installation, tree removal, subgrade preparation (Method B), application of various asphalt and concrete courses, removal and resetting of mailboxes, installation of riprap, corrugated polyethylene pipes, sheet aluminum signs, square tube posts, traffic striping, construction signs, construction traffic control, and mobilization. All work must meet the applicable Oklahoma Department of Transportation specifications and be performed in accordance with the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD). The contractor must commence work within seven days of notice to proceed and complete the project within thirty consecutive calendar days. Bidders must submit a sealed bid with a bid bond for 5% of the total amount and meet all insurance, bonding, and legal requirements. Unit prices must be entered in both words and numerals, and the detailed bid form must be completed as instructed. The lowest and best bidder, according to statute, will be awarded the contract, which is subject to all applicable laws and the right of the owner to reject any or all bids or re-bid as needed. The successful bidder shall be solely responsible for jobsite and worker safety and provide all required documentation, including a notarized non-collusion affidavit and a statement of qualifications with at least three project references.
