Construction services to expand gravesite capacity and complete site improvements at Fort Custer National Cemetery. Work includes construction of a 3,360-niche columbarium, development of gravesite sections for 3,712 pre-placed crypt burials, and development of gravesite sections for 6,821 in-ground cremains interments. Optional work may include replacement of maintenance yard asphalt pavement with concrete, renovations to the Administration Building and PIC/Restroom Building, construction of a new storage building in the maintenance area, provision of swing space, irrigation system improvements at the existing cemetery, and installation of a permanent power source to Committal Shelter A. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, permits, and services necessary to perform site surveying, utility locating, erosion and sediment control, site clearing, grading, landscaping, drainage maintenance, final restoration, and protection of existing improvements. Additional requirements include construction safety controls, fencing, progress documentation, submittals, testing, as-built documentation, operation and maintenance manuals as applicable, waste disposal, and warranty of materials and workmanship.
