The South Carolina Department of Veterans' Affairs is soliciting qualifications from licensed Architect/Engineering firms to provide professional services in preparation for submission for authorization to proceed with Phase 1 programming and schematic design and subsequent design services in accordance with the South Carolina Office of State Engineer (OSE) Manual and South Carolina Capital Improvement Manual. The selected A/E shall provide professional services through Phase I and Phase II. Authorization to proceed with Phase II services shall be issued by the Agency only after approval by the Office of State Engineer and written authorization from the Agency. The project will address aging infrastructure and building systems at the E. Roy Stone Veterans Pavilion Nursing Home through modernization of mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and life safety systems. Stone Pavilion is a long-term care facility serving South Carolina veterans in a skilled nursing environment. The facility contains approximately 45,684 square feet and was constructed in 1971. The facility is licensed for 90 long-term care residents and supports approximately 120 staff and support personnel. The facility will remain occupied during project implementation and evaluation and design efforts shall consider operational continuity and resident safety Comprehensive facility modernization project at Stone Pavilion Veterans Nursing Home to replace aging infrastructure, upgrade building systems, and establish independent utilities to improve safety, efficiency, and quality of life for residents. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
