Department of Motor Vehicles 10311 Wilson Blvd Blythewood SC 29016 Question Deadline 03/18/2026 COPE OF WORK/SPECIFICATIONS The South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles’ Facilities Services Department is seeking to contract with a contractor to provide the services described below. Scope of Work – LVP Flooring Installation (Approx. 3,700 SF) A. Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to furnish and install approximately 3,700 square feet of luxury vinyl plank (LVP) flooring over existing VCT flooring. B. The LVP material for this project shall be Shaw Contract – Terrain II series 30 mil. 1. Actual color and design to be determined (TBD) by SCDMV prior to installation. 2. Contractor shall verify availability and lead time once color/design is selected to ensure compliance with the required one-week (Sunday–Sunday) installation schedule. 3. Installation shall be performed in strict accordance with Shaw Contract’s manufacturer specifications and warranty requirements, including all approved adhesives, underlayment, and substrate preparation standards. 4. This flooring installation will go over the preexisting VCT flooring. C. Work shall include, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Pre-Construction & Coordination o Conduct a site visit to verify field conditions and measurements. o Coordinate schedule with the SCDMV to ensure all work is completed within the required one-week window (Sunday to Sunday). o Provide a detailed work plan outlining daily activities to meet the project timeline. 2. Furniture and Area Preparation (This will be done by SCDMV) o Move and relocate existing furniture, fixtures, and equipment as necessary to perform the work. o Protect all adjacent surfaces, walls, and areas not receiving new flooring. o Stage furniture in a manner that allows continuous progress of installation and return items to their original locations upon completion. 3. Floor Preparation o Inspect existing VCT flooring for suitability as a substrate. o Clean, degrease, and prepare the VCT surface in accordance with Shaw Contract requirements. o Remove or repair damaged, loose, or uneven VCT tiles as needed. o Level and patch low areas, seams, and imperfections to ensure a smooth, flat surface suitable for LVP LVP Installation o Install Shaw Contract Terrain II LVP flooring over the prepared VCT surface in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards. o Ensure proper layout, alignment, and transitions.
