The proposed project consists of the rehabilitation of 3 existing sewer pump stations and improvements to the existing wastewater treatment facility. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope addressed to the Town of Falkner and marked as 'Bid for Sanitary Sewer Improvements CDBG 2024, CDBG NO. 1200-24--PF-01.' Any bid exceeding $50,000.00 must have the contractor's current certificate of responsibility number on the envelope, or a statement that the bid does not exceed $50,000.00. Bids are only accepted from bidders to whom contract documents have been issued by Plan House Printing and whose names appear on the official list of planholders maintained by Plan House Printing. Each bid must include a certified check, bank draft, negotiable U.S. Government bonds (at par value), or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and an accepted surety, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid. The successful bidder must provide a payment bond and performance bond, each in the amount of 100 percent of the contract amount. The project is subject to the rules and regulations of the Community Development Block Grant. The successful bidder must comply with Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968.
