Description

Renovation of an educational facility in Madison, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

All potential bidders must become certified by DOA prior to submitting bids on state construction projects with budgets over $100,000. In general, the work consists of: repairs to identified areas of the spire tower curtainwall and spire tower peak spindle and glazed in spandrel façade elements. Repairs include; replace all existing sealants at the spire tower curtainwall, replace sealants at the spire tower precast concrete panel joints and the granite panel joints, inspect curtainwall center mullion concealed conditions at the spire tower curtainwall, replace all existing exterior glazing gaskets at the spire tower curtainwall, refinish (paint) all spandrel panels at the original 1993 and 2008 addition buildings, repair the spire tower spindle seal to the metal panel roof system, provide access to owner's representatives and architect to inspect the spire tower pitched metal panel roof system and flashings. The 2017-2019 Wisconsin State Budget (2017 Wisconsin Act 59) repealed Wisconsin's prevailing wage laws. Effective September 23, 2017, state prevailing wage requirements on state building projects no longer apply. These changes take effect for projects advertised for bid after September 23, 2017. This change does not affect the Federal Davis Bacon Act requirements.
