Renovation of an educational facility in Santa Maria, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Pioneer Valley HS HVAC Engineer’s Cost Estimate = $180,000 Santa Maria HS HVAC Engineer’s Cost Estimate = $160,000 The project consists of replacing one existing rooftop heating and ventilating unit with a new package HVAC unit at Building C at Pioneer Valley High School, and replacing one existing rooftop heating and ventilating unit with a new package HVAC unit at Santa Maria High School. Existing supply and return ductwork will remain. The work includes replacement of roof curbs for the new units, minor structural modification, and electrical service to the new units. To bid, bidders must possess a State of California B contractor’s license, be registered as a public works contractor with the Department of Industrial Relations, and attend a mandatory pre-bid conference and site visit. All bids must be on the District-provided form and accompanied by a bid bond, cashier’s check, or certified check for ten percent of the total bid price. The successful bidder shall provide 100% performance and payment bonds and comply with various regulations, including prevailing wage laws and federal funding requirements. The District reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or waive any irregularity in any bid received. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive responsible bidder based on the base bid amount only, with the option to award one or both school sites.
