To bid on this project, bidders are required to possess a valid State of California contractor's license (B) in good standing and must be registered as a public works contractor with the Department of Industrial Relations. All bids must be submitted on the District-provided form and must comply with all pertinent contract documents, including the Instructions to Bidders. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond, cashier’s check, or certified check for ten percent of the total bid price as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract if awarded. A mandatory pre-bid conference and site visit are required, and failure to attend will render the bid ineligible. The successful bidder must provide a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond. Compliance with California labor codes, prevailing wage requirements, federal Davis-Bacon Act, and other applicable federal funding requirements is mandatory. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder based on the base bid amount only, with the District reserving the right to reject any or all bids or to waive irregularities.
