No specific date for rebid.** The work consists of the complete installation of a new exterior-mounted dust collector system for an existing Wood Working Classroom. This includes the relocation of a small existing storage unit; minor demolition of exterior paving and minor demolition and repair of the classroom ceiling; purchase and installation of the dust collecting equipment on a new concrete slab adjacent to the shop classroom; installation of interior ductwork and support brackets; minor wall framing; and associated electrical power, panel, and circuitry for a complete operating system. To bid, the bidder must possess a State of California contractor's license "B" and be registered as a public works contractor with the Department of Industrial Relations. All bids must be on the form provided, conform to all contract documents, and be accompanied by a bid bond, cashier's check, or certified check for ten percent of the total bid price. The successful bidder must furnish a 100% Performance Bond and 100% Payment Bond. Bidders must attend the mandatory pre-bid conference and site visit. Additional requirements include compliance with California regulations regarding diesel-fueled fleets, prevailing wage laws, and, if awarded, either meeting or making a good faith effort toward a Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise participation goal. The project is subject to labor compliance monitoring and federal funding requirements, including the Davis-Bacon Act. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive responsible bidder based on the base bid amount only.
