Site work for a water / sewer project in Berwyn, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Lead water service line replacements for the City of Berwyn. Proposals must be sealed and submitted on the forms provided by the Engineer. A bid bond of at least five percent (5%) of the bid is required with each proposal. The successful bidder must furnish a performance bond equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the bid. The contractor must pay not less than prevailing wage rates as established by the United States Department of Labor and comply with all applicable Federal, State, and local regulations. Bidder qualifications and experience will be considered in determining the lowest responsible bidder, and prequalification must be submitted to the Engineer. The contractor or their subcontractor responsible for water service line replacement must be a licensed plumbing contractor in the State of Illinois, with a copy of the Plumbing License required before awarding the contract. The contractor must also be registered through Sam.gov with a Unique Entity ID number. The project is partially funded by a loan from the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency and is subject to related state and federal procurement regulations. All bidders must undertake specified affirmative efforts for disadvantaged business enterprises prior to bid opening and comply with Executive Order No. 11246 as amended.
