The project consists of providing all labor, material, equipment, mechanical workmanship, transportation, and services required for the storm damage repair of Collier Canyon Road at mile marker 3.66 in Murray Township, Alameda County, California. General work includes providing construction area signs; preparing and implementing a traffic control plan; preparing and implementing a stormwater pollution prevention plan; managing the construction site; sweeping streets; coordinating with utility companies, businesses, and property owners; clearing and grubbing; performing construction survey staking; carrying out minor roadway excavation and site grading; replacing damaged concrete wing wall sections; repairing slopes at the box culvert outlet and the storm-damaged roadway shoulder; constructing two new mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) retaining walls; placing rock slope protection; installing metal barrier guardrails; restoring damaged pavement; and cleaning the site upon completion. Bids must include a security of at least 10 percent of the bid. The Contractor must have a valid Class A license and be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations throughout the contract duration. All contractors and subcontractors must pay at least the prevailing wage rates. There is a mandatory pre-bid meeting for all prime contractors. Bids must comply with CARB In-Use Off-Road Diesel-Fueled Fleets Regulation and provide valid Certificates of Reported Compliance, if applicable.
