The City of Springfield is requesting bids for the construction of the Springfield Memorial Park and Public Space Connector Project. The project includes removal of existing playground equipment and surfacing, picnic shelter roof, paving, walks and curb. New work involves parking with ADA spaces, concrete sidewalks, and a public bus stop linking Memorial Park with the Burma Center to the south. Park improvements will also include a new picnic shelter roof and concrete paving, play area and structures with poured-in-place surfacing, perimeter pond landscaping, and new benches and refuse and recycling containers. Bids will be accepted only from Plan Holders of Record who have obtained Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond in an amount equal to five percent of the total bid as security for proper contract execution. A 100% Labor, Material, and Performance Bond will be required from the successful bidder. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive any informality in bidding, or to accept the bid consistent with law which best serves the Owner.
