Question deadline is 04/03/2026 by 5:00 PM Construction of a ferrous-based Reduction-Coagulation-Filtration (RCF) treatment facility at the Bonita Well Site that can treat 500-2,200 gallons per minute (gpm). The horizontal filters will be inside a treatment building. Replacing well pumps at the San Andreas and Bonita Wells Construction of a 100,000 gallon underground concrete tank for filter backwash water Construction of a sewer lift station and forcemain to the County Sanitation Uplands Lift Station 1 Pump upgrades at County Sanitation Uplands 1, 2 & 3 Lift Stations for Bonita filter backwash waste flows Various above ground and underground piping at Bonita and San Andreas Well Sites Bonita Well Site Emergency Generator Miscellaneous site improvements including landscaping and stormwater retention In accordance with Public Contract Code 20784 each bid must conform and be responsive to the invitation, the Plans and Specifications, and all documents comprising the Contract Documents. Each bid shall be presented under sealed cover and shall be accompanied by a certified check or bidder's bond, made payable to the Owner, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid. The said check or bidder's bond shall be given as a guarantee that the successful bidder will execute the contract in conformity with the form of agreement contained within the contract documents, and will furnish bonds and insurance policies as specified within ten (10) days after notification of the award of the Contract to the successful bidder. The contract documents that the successful bidder must submit within ten (10) days of notification of award include, but are not limited to, a payment bond in an amount of at least 100 percent of the amount payable by the terms of the project contract and that satisfies the requirements of California Civil Code Section 3248, and a performance bond in an amount of at least 100 percent of the amount payable by the terms of the contract, and a maintenance bond in an amount of at least ten (10) percent of the amount payable by terms of the contract. All project bonds must be executed by an admitted surety insurer in accordance with applicable law and acceptable to the Owner. The Contractor shall perform at least fifty (50%) percent of the Contract Bid Amount. This portion of work shall encompass the performance of work by the Contractor's forces and equipment, the procurement of materials and equipment by the Contractor and field related general conditions required to support and supervise the construction effort. In accordance with the provisions of California Public Contract Code Section 3300, the Owner has determined that the Contractor shall possess, as a minimum, a valid California Class A Contractor's License or as required for the work specified. In accordance with the provisions of California Business and Professions Code Section 7028.15, a bid submitted to the Owner by a Contractor who is not licensed in accordance with Chapter 9 of the California Business and Professions Code shall be considered non-responsive and shall be rejected by the Owner. The Owner reserves the sole right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in a bid The new deadline for submitting RFIs on bid documents is April 3, 2026 by 5:00 PM.
