Furnish all labor, materials, and equipment and perform all work for the construction of an improvement project generally described as T-Hangar and Taxilane Construction at Atlantic Municipal Airport, including any incidental work as described in the plans and specifications. Major work items include furnishing and installing a 6-unit T-Hangar metal building, excavation, topsoil stripping, subgrade stabilization, modified subbase, Portland cement concrete pavement, permanent pavement markings, traffic control, mobilization, maintenance bond, mulching, seeding and fertilizing, temporary erosion control, and a project sign. Bid Alternate A includes partition wall insulation and liner panels. All quantities are approximate and subject to change. Each proposal must include a bid guaranty in the form of a bid bond, cashier's or certified check, or a credit union certified share draft in a separate sealed envelope in an amount equal to five percent of the total proposal. If awarded, the bidder must provide a performance bond, payment bond, and maintenance bond, each in the amount of 100% of the contract price, and a certificate of insurance. Bidders must register with the Iowa Division of Labor, and the project is contingent upon federal funding assistance. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope addressed and marked as specified, with all required information provided by the time of bid opening. The Owner may select or reject alternate bid items and reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in bids received.
