Sealed bids are invited for the Highmore Community Building Drainage Improvements Project. General items of work include removal and disposal of asphalt and concrete surfacing, gravel surfacing, resetting flagpole, installation of PVC storm sewer pipe, storm sewer fittings and manholes, sanitary sewer service replacement, excavation, gravel and asphalt surfacing, concrete work including sidewalks and stoops, curb and gutter, valley gutters, pavement markings and signage, seeding, fertilizing, and traffic control measures. Alternates include options for parking lot concrete or asphalt surfacing, additional drainage improvements, and related excavation and installation. Bidders must agree that quantities are subject to change and all work must be performed as specified and at the unit price bid. Bidders are required to furnish all labor, materials, and equipment needed to complete the work as shown in the provided plans and specifications. Each bid must include a certified check or bank draft payable to the order of the City of Highmore for 5% of the total bid or a bid bond for 10%. Surety for bid bonds must be authorized in South Dakota. Bids must be accompanied by copies of the bidder's South Dakota sales and use tax license and excise tax license, or appropriate evidence of such licenses for the bidder and all affiliates. One set will be provided at no charge to South Dakota resident contractors intending to bid.
