Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Charleston, West Virginia. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a 56,520-square-foot, two-story above grade military facility.

A two-story, 56,520-square-foot Armed Forces Reserve Center requires full design-build repair and renovation to restore failing facility components and return the building to a fully functioning AFRC with an extended service life of 25 years. Work includes repairing or replacing electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and building envelope systems, including the roof, interior and exterior lighting, ceilings, fire protection, emergency mass notification systems, interior and exterior doors and windows, interior and exterior wall surfaces, damaged flooring, and installation of meters. All deficient Americans with Disabilities Act features will be brought into compliance. The project requires demolition and abatement of all failing components and hazardous materials, including asbestos, mold, lead-based paint, and biological or other hazards, in accordance with applicable laws. Additional associated work outside the five-foot line of the building includes replacement or repair of electrical transformers and lines, telecommunications lines, domestic waterlines, sanitary lines, fire hydrants and fire waterlines, stormwater basins and piping, non-organizational parking lot pavement, fencing, sidewalks, and construction of a Mobile Kitchen Trailer pad, dumpster enclosure, and monument sign. Location: Armed Forces Reserve Center, 125 Armory Drive, Cross Lanes, WV 25313 The estimated cost range is between $25,000,000 and $100,000,000.
