Sealed bids are invited for the Brush Field Renovation Project at Marshall Simonds Middle School for Burlington Public Schools. Requirements for respondents are provided. The right to accept or reject any or all bids,or portions thereof, is reserved if deemed in the best interest of the Town. The project includes replacement of the existing grass field with one full multipurpose athletic field and one half field, along with new ADA-accessible walkways, athletic lighting, scoreboards, terrace seating, a rain garden, and other related amenities as indicated in the Drawings. Project Description: The project site: 1. Marshall Simonds Middle School's athletic field's are located at 114 Winn St., in Burlington Massachusetts and is bound by residential propertiesto the North and to the East, Peach Orchard Road to the South, and Winn St. to the West. 2. Work includes but is not limited to: a. General contractor is responsible for obtaining the necessary permitting, including the SWPPP and NPDES general construction permit. Contractor to provide an electronic copy of SWPPP and NPDES to the Engineer and Owner prior to Construction. b. Contractor to follow all instructions and requirements within the Order Of Conditions set forth by Burlington's Conservation Commission. c. The Contractor shall comply with all General Notes indicated on Sheet C-2 of the Drawings. B. In addition, the Work under the Contract includes: 1. The restoration of any items damaged or destroyed by encroaching upon areas outside the Project Site. 2. Providing and restoring, where appropriate, all temporary facilities. 3. All other work indicated on the contract plans and/or specifications. 4. Winterization: Contractor to perform winterization, spring opening, and an additional winterization for the referenced project. Contractor to perform work in the presence of the City Representatives and conduct training of City employees at the same time.
