Demolition, site work and addition to a library in Pembroke, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the addition of a library; for the demolition of a library; and for site work for a library.
The scope of work includes the construction of a single story, steel and wood framed, 2700 gross square foot addition to the existing (built new in 1996) public library building, including foundation earthwork and minor site improvements. The scope also includes new asphalt shingle roofing and patching into existing asphalt and membrane roofing, selective demolition of exterior siding and trim, cutting of holes in exterior walls, and reframing for new doors, cutting and patching of existing siding, trim, and cornices to match the addition with existing, and cutting and patching finishes within the existing building as required to connect electrical, mechanical, fire protection and plumbing systems to the existing building, and limited sitework. The General Contractor shall be DCAMM certified. Question Deadline 04/07/2026 The contractor shall direct all questions in writing concerning the Plans and Specifications to Philip O'Brien, Principal, LEED AP Johnson Roberts Associates Inc. 24 Dane Street Somerville, MA 02143 pobrien@johnson-roberts.com All questions as to the interpretation of the Drawings and Specifications made before the bids are submitted shall be addressed in writing to the mentioned contact a minimum of six (6) business days prior to the dates for bid. The Town of Pembroke reserves the right to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so
