The project entails the development of the Powder Mill Overlay District (PMOD) Bike and Pedestrian Path Design for a one-mile portion of Powder Mill Road/MA Route 62 in Maynard. The services required include professional engineering and permitting services, the preparation of final design documents to add pedestrian and bicycle paths/routes, technical studies, preparation of highway design elements, assistance with project permitting coordination, and attendance at meetings on behalf of the Town. The maximum fee for this contract is $558,500.00, with all expenses to be incurred on or before June 30, 2027. Submissions must be sealed, clearly marked “ENGINEERING & PERMITTING SERVICES, PMOD BIKE & PEDESTRIAN PATH DESIGN,” and include one physical and one electronic copy. Failure to include an electronic copy may result in rejection. Price is not considered in the initial evaluation, with fee negotiations occurring after finalists are selected. Any mention of fees in submissions will result in rejection. The Town reserves the right to reject all or any submissions, to waive minor defects, informalities, or irregularities, and to award contracts or cancel the request if deemed in its best interest. Contracts will be awarded on a negotiated basis for phased milestone deliverables, in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines.
