Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Freeport, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; water / sewer project; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The project consists of full depth pavement removal - 16", subbase granular material type B, geotechnical fabric for ground stabilization, aggregate base course, type B - 12", preparation of base, manholes to be adjusted, water valves to be adjusted, concrete curb and gutter removal, sidewalk removal, driveway removal, combination concrete curb and gutter, Type B6.18, PCC sidewalk, detectable warnings, PCC driveways, and PVC water main on DEMETER DRIVE, BENTON AVENUE and STEWART AVENUE. All bids must be accompanied by a bank check, cashier's check, certified check, or bid bond payable to the Owner for ten percent (10%) of the total amount of bid. Bids must comply with all applicable ordinances, statutes, and regulations, including equal employment and affirmative action provisions. Bids may be held by the City of Freeport for up to 60 days for review. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive any informalities. Not less than the minimum salaries and wages set forth in the contract documents must be paid, and contractors must ensure no discrimination in employment. Bidders must obtain official bidding documents either digitally or as hard copies and follow the outlined procedures for submission.
