Renovation of a residential development in Bessemer, Alabama. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
Oak Ridge & Terrace Manor Bathroom Renovation The project consists of the removal and replacement of interior bathroom finishes and plumbing fixtures throughout Oak Ridge and Terrace Manor community apartment units. Questions should be directed to Mr. Roman Gary with CCR Architecture & Interiors A cashier's check or bid bond payable to Jeferson County Housing Authority in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000, must accompany the bidder's proposal. Performance and Payment Bonds and evidence of insurance required in the bid documents will be required at the signing of the Contract. The contract shall be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder in accordance with the rules, regulations, and policies of the Jeferson County Housing Authority and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errors if, in the Owner's judgment, the best interests of the Owner will thereby be promoted. Liquidated Damages: For each day that performance under a resulting contract from this IFB is delayed beyond the time specified for completion, the successful Bidder shall be liable for liquidated damages in the amount of $1000.00 per day. However, the timeframe for performance may be adjusted at JCHA's discretion in writing and received by the successful Bidder prior to default under any resulting contract. The Contractor must provide JCHA a 100% Performance Bond for total contract value, however if the Contractor is unable to acquire the equitable bonding that is acceptable to JCHA within ten (10) days of signed contract, then the Contractor will be deemed in breach of contract. The Contractor must provide JCHA a 100% Payment Bond for each Project Contract executed by JCHA, however if the Contractor is unable to acquire the equitable bonding that is acceptable to JCHA within ten (10) days of signed contract, then the Contractor will be deemed in breach of contract. Time for Completion: The Contractor shall immediately mobilize and commence work at the time stipulated in the Notice to Proceed to the Contractor and shall be fully completed within one hundred and thirty-five (135) days. Question Deadline 04/02/2026 Any prospective bidder desiring an explanation or interpretation of the solicitation, specifications, drawings, etc., must request it at least 7 days before the scheduled time for bid opening.
